Rose was fatally shot in the back three times by East Pittsburgh police officer Michael Rosfeld. Rose was a passenger in a car that Rosfeld pulled over in East Pittsburgh minutes after a drive by shooting occurred nearby. Rose and another passenger fled the car, when Rose was fatally shot.
Rosfeld was later acquitted on all charges.
